Squirrels is our newest section, designed especially for 4–6 year olds. It’s all about having fun, making friends, and trying new things in a safe and supportive environment.
What it's like:
One-hour sessions full of play, stories, simple games, crafts and outdoor fun – perfect for making early friendships.
When: Wednesdays
Time: 16:45–17:45
Where: 6th Banbury (St Hugh’s) Scout Centre
A mixture of nature walks, treasure hunts, crafts, songs, and small challenges that build confidence.
Squirrels can earn lots of different badges as they try new activities and develop new skills!
Complete all 4 Squirrels Challenge Awards plus any 2 Activity Badges of your choice.

Sessions run weekly for an hour. Children need comfy clothes, indoor shoes, and a drink bottle. Parents are welcome to stay at first if that helps their child settle.

Around age 6, Squirrels can move up to Beavers. We make it a small celebration and help them feel ready for the next step.
